What are the fees and charges associated with investing in Mercia EIS?

Due to the active nature of early stage investing, the fees charged for investing are higher than in mainstream investments. Mercia EIS charges fees that are in line with the market.

In general, Mercia EIS charges are as follows:

  • Initial fees – 2.0%, reduced to 1.5% for advised investors
  • Management fees – 1.75%
  • Custodian fee – 0.25%
  • Performance fee – 20% above the return of the net investment

VAT is chargeable for relevant fees. Three years fees will be withheld at the point of investment, and the remaining years collected upon exit.

For the full details of the fees, you should refer to the relevant Investment Memorandum, as historic EIS funds may have had different fee structures.
